Yes according to the website we only have Matthew Knights as a past player.

Slightly off the subject, Mini Me emailed the club a couple of weeks ago for a school assignment asking for some of the players favourite foods and recipes.  To date she's received no reply.  To make matters worse, one of the other girls in her class emailed the Lions and got a prompt reply.

The site is totally up the creek.
I go to the players list - get error message
Go to the membership section - get error message

Really good timing to have your membership page down at this time of the year  :banghead

Hate to be negative but thats just typical at richmond I hate to say.
The website issue is a disgrace.
Surely the club would realise that the website is highly important communication tool. talking about tools, no i wont go there

This is not Richmond's fault mate.

Blame Telstra, they're the ones updating all the sites. . .

Just checked a few other clubs websites, they seem fine but more importantly up to date.
I have had some experience with websites and you will find that the IT person at richmond would be able to change things on a daily basis,eg he would be able to update topics and add topics , interviews etc. from his desk at punt road.
Basically, all clubs maintain there own websites you will find.

If you dont beleive me, ask William Powell and Mightiges on how they maintain this website. ;)

I agree.
The club's been better at the off field stuff the past two years, but the new website is a shambles. >:(
I wonder if Steven Wright's health issues have coincided with us dropping the ball here as he's made a huge difference to the professionalism of the club in such matters since his appointment.

Not good enough RFC.

I'm getting timeout error messages on both the RFC and AFL sites and none of the links go to the articles ???.

Granted it's a beta version but good old Telstra. You would have thought they wouldn't wait until just 3 weeks before the start of the season before "upgrading" the official site of the AFL. Total stuff up  ::).

The general look of all these Telstra sites is the same. I'm guessing there's a link to text files in the source code and the IT person at each club just changes what is in these text files rather than altering the actual source code. If they do fiddle with the actual source code then it'd be cutting and pasting chunks of code around. Otherwise the club IT person could just come up with his/her own design and code provided they have all the Telstra advertising.

For example, Telstra love using 1kb blank images to separate items on the site instead of using HTML code that is designed for that purpose. Now a 1kb image is nothing on its own but if you have a page with a hundred or two in the source code, and that's before you add actual pics, flash and video in as well, then no wonder it is the slowest and most user unfriendly website on the net. A total joke for a professional sporting organisation like the AFL.

Where's the current injury list on the RFC site? You click on injury news and it gives you the Swans injuries  ???.

Also as mentioned on BF the EOTT section is now hidden away in a dark corner of the site ..... click on community -> tigers in the community -> eye of the tiger  :P
