Duncan Kellaway a Tiger great - Walls
« on: March 09, 2007, 09:55:23 PM »
They showed Duncan on the Geelong bench tonight (he's their runner and physio) and Walls called Duncan a Tiger great and then said he meant it by calling him a great. The best in the business as "the glove".

His kicking skills were poor - that is undeniable. However, there were so many other elements to his game that were skilful - doesn't it take skill to take a contested mark, for instance, or to read the play? To say he had   "no skill what so ever" is not only untrue, but disrespectful to a great tiger person. He was a helluva good player in his prime.

So torch, I suggest you go out tonight, burn the candle at both ends, re-charge your batteries tomorrow with a good lie-in, then come back on the site and pay Kellaway the respect he deserves.I'll stop now before I get kellied away.

just cos he was tight and couragous, that does not make him a gr8 tiger
infact he was crap , over rated and would have never ever got a game at any other club
thank god he is gone, andrew even though the game has passed him was a far better player

It does in my book!

Go easy X! How can you say he was a crap player? Are you basing your opinion on his last few years when he was injured? Yes a few average footballers have pulled on an AFL/VFL guernsey over the years-but not many of them get picked to represent Victoria in SOO football!

Would you say that to him if you saw him walking around Geelong? And that may well happen!
