Should we chase Judd?
« on: March 15, 2007, 10:22:14 PM »
Hutchy isn't the most reliable source but he said Judd has delayed all contract negotiations until the end of the season. Eluding that now he has won a flag and with the problems with the leaders around him at the Eagles he may consider moving back to Victoria.

In a word, yes.
In the right age group that we need, the best player going around - why wouldn't you.
Might mean we have to finish last to get him though.

Absolutely - without hesitation. WOuld need to give away plenty but if he's available you'd have too

The Dees would be sentimental favourites if Judd did leave the Eagles as he barracked for Melbourne as a kid. The Pies always get linked to a big fish but can never catch one (who can blame the fish :D ). He apparently according to Eagles fans hates playing at the Dome so that would knock out the bombers, roos, dogs, saints and blues if true. We've gone after at least one player each year under Miller. Scored Simmo, Paddy and Polak. Missed out on Fev, Lappin and Solomon (thank god).

This a handy way for the Eagles to distract the media especially in Victoria from the drug problem at their club.

melb would be where he goes, and then hawks.
no other club has a chance

would i go for him ......no

why , he would  cost us too much , too much money , and too much trade, eagles would want deledio, jon, blingers, and who knows who else

one man does not make a team, and imho, judd is not the key man at wce, cousins is

Yes, yes, yes.  I'd go for Judd before Cousins.  Cousins can't seem to stay out of trouble.

My first instinct is to say "YES!" - but as X-cited says there's a lot to think about and we don't want to sell the farm.  Another question - would Judd be as productive playing for Richmond?  Can our players win the pill and provide the targets and support and protect him like they do at WCE?  I suspect life might be a bit tough without Cousins, Kerr etc.

exactly

cousins, kerr and embley make judd.

my bet is judd will be a good player elsewhere, but no where near as good as he is at wce.
he has a great midfield supply at wce, he wont get that elswhere

btw, who cares id cousins is in trouble, he is by far the best midfielder and hardest working and hardest running player in the afl

Isn't Cousins about 29 years of age?

does not matter how old he is, he is by far the best and number 1 midfielder in the afl

no one runs as hard  as he does, he is in top gear from start to finish, he vomits lactic acid many times  during a game  cos he pushed his body that hard.
judd may be faster, but cousins runs harder and longer and is the key to wce team not judd

YES!

We can make the room if some tough decisions are made on some senior Tigers.

Judd is exactly the type of player Richmond needs at this point of our development
