We need to keep Fev to about 4 goals IMO. If Fev ends up kicking 8 it'll mean we got our pants pulled down in the midfield.

i have and it was a fig of speech

but i still have not seen them play consistantly enough to consider them a threat.

If we can keep Fisher to one or two, we should win.
Reckon Fisher is a gun and with Lance standing down  there beside him,he will get under our guard.
Fisher has great hands and has been dogged by injury the past few seasons.
Is injury free at present.
Fev will play by the way, spoke to someone at Carlton today.
As Mightytiges said, if they get there fair share of the ball midfield, I reckon we could be in trouble bigtime. Need to stop Stevens who by all reports will have his best year yet, is much fitter than he has ever been and has lost a few kilos which will help his endurance, what you wont see from Stevens this year is the cheap possesions behind the defensive side of the play. He will be winning more of his own ball this year when in dispute and pushing forward at all costs. Will be chipping in for his goal or two each week

You might be right Jack but I'll believe it when I see it as far as Stevens goes in the real stuff. Port weren't exactly disappointed to see him go  and it didn't surprise anyone there that they didn't choke in the finals the following year. It helps when you don't have someone passing the ball to the opposition most of the time as we know all too well at Punt Rd  .

According to Ch 9, Fev will play this week but is facing knee surgery.
