When do people think Simmo will be ready by in the worst case scenario?

BTW, didn't Thirsty play in the praccy match against Collingwood or am I thinking of someone else  ???

Miller said this morning that Simmo could be playing a half for Coburg this week.

Browny is at least another week away at best (didn't sound too confident) while Thursty is 2 weeks away.

Why are these lists, for RFC, almost always incomplete? eg Brown not listed this time. Surely it's not that hard to list all players that are injured. Is it someone at the club that keeps stuffing up, or is it the fault of the  person compiling the list?

And Connors as well. Hasn't trained or played for 2 weeks. It must be the club's fault as they aren't listed on the RFC site either.

Richmond to face ruck shortage - Knobel out again (Age)

Richmond to face ruck shortage
April 3, 2007 - 4:10PM

Richmond will again face a ruck shortage in their AFL clash with last year's grand finalist Sydney on Saturday at the MCG.

Richmond coach Terry Wallace said number one ruckman Troy Simmonds is out for at least another week while back-up Trent Knobel is sidelined indefinitely with an ankle injury.

Both were absent from Richmond's seasoning opening 17-point loss to Carlton last weekend and were badly missed.

Wallace said Knobel's ankle injury was a mystery and he was likely to have more tests this week to determine the problem.

"We've just got to have a real look at him over the next few days and find out exactly what is going on with his ankle ailment," Wallace said on Tuesday.

"He played reserve grade level at the weekend and pulled up sore again.

"I don't think he'll play anywhere on the weekend and we'll have to do some further investigation to see whether it's a long term issue."

But in better news for the Tigers defender Chris Newman said he had pulled up well after his first AFL match since breaking his leg badly last season.

I can't see Knobel surviving this year. Too injury prone so he's not much use as a back-up ruckman and he's not going to be part of our future anyway. Ironically ex-Coburg boy Rix is rucking for the Saints.

Good to hear Newy got through the game okay. Fingers crossed there.

In the long run probably yes but right now Graham needs time to develop. He struggled against Jeff White in the practice game against the Dees. In hindsight we should have got Rix (or rookied him) instead of using our PSD pick on Knobel. We need our back-up ruckman now but he's injured again  :-\.

I think Matty played for Coburg on the weekend DC. Cogs and Petersen are the two on the long-term injury list.
