In - Jackson, Hartigan, Roach,

It is so good to see that.  Good luck to Daniel Jackson for his first game. 8)  Disappointed I probably won't get to be there.

I am now actually looking forward to going on the weekend win, lose or draw purely based on seeing these young kids take the field. Still got to ask the question why now Danny when you're quitting do you make the correct team selections.

Unfortunately for Chafs his lack of form and poor disposal warranted a stint at Coburg. This is Aaron's last chance I'd reckon too.

I am surprised that they dropped Chaffey, maybe things are actually going to change at Richmond. In season gone by when we have been travelling pretty ordinary we have never blooded the kids.

Time to build the next generation.

Still trying to work out how Blumfield and Tivendale got a game ::)
Logical explanation is there is no body to replace them  ;)

Spot on Jackstar.

I think blumfield will play the rest of the season to see how he goes, we have to find out if he can show us anything. He is out of contract so even if we do resign him, he would be on bugger all of a contract. Might be worth keeping.

Tivendale is really only worth keeping if we were in contention for a flag. He is a front runner and NEVER plays well when the team is down.

I doubt Jackson will cop full-back first up. Played on Holland last week giving away 8 cm in height, 17 kg in weight and 10 years in experience so seemed to be a test. (Was beaten too IMO) This kid has the look of something special. He's very fast and sticks to his task, wouldn't surprise me if he runs with Riewoldt especially if Joel is carrying a knee injury.

I agree FF - I missed last weeks Coburg game but up until then I'd been very impressed with Jackson. He just looks like something special.

He was really good against Frankston, especially in the last when he took some telling marks on the last line of defence. He just reads the play so well.

I was thinking the other day I wonder how much bigger he will get? He he is a good size now but body shape I reckon he will get bigger across the shoulders and upper body.

Wouldn't it be great in a few years time if we are all typing away on this board saying what a great draft choice at 53. I think Greg Miller may have got us a gem ;)

Yeah its pleasurable to read the kids playing...Im actually looking forward to the game this week as well. I just hope they get a decent run and get a touch.....good to see.

I think you guys are being a bit tough on Tivvers. One thing we lack is a bit of zippo and well he has a bit of run in him, so wejust need him to find some consistency.

Bout time with Chaffs. I actually think that this is it for me...I dont think he will find a way back in the 1s unless someone else gets the chop *hint *hint* Blumfield.

om21 - I am hoping if another "senior" blokes gets the chop then another youngster will get a gig. e.g Gilmour or Raines.

Bring on the kids - that's all most of us want now ;) :)
