THE Murray Bushrangers, with the latest Deledio in the line-up, upset the New South Wales/ACT team by nine points at Lavington in yesterday's interstate invitational round.
Matthew Deledio, brother of young Richmond all-rounder Brett, kicked three goals and was named in the best.
Deledio, who turned 18 last month and is stockier than his brother, continues to impress.
"He is a bit smaller (than Brett) . . . strong overhead," Murray Bushrangers region development manager Jeff Chandler said yesterday.
"He is not overly big, as in tall, but he took some really telling marks for us today across half-forward. He was a good player.
"Having a brother in the system, he is probably going to get a bit more attention.
"If he played like that every week, you would think that, maybe not this year, but this time next year, there would be a bit of interest around . . . they would be thinking, the breeding is there and those sorts of things."
