sunday night i was bleeding and ready to kill.
i have watched teh replay 3 times now and looking at the game as a footy fan and not a tiger fan it wasnt a bad game

sure we f up alot, made many silly errors, but i guess you get that in round 1. i see it this way now, we played round 1, the blues were in round 4 or 5.

when we played bad we were shocking, but it was a hell of an improvement compared to the last 2 seasons rnd 1 games.

i reckon sunday night we would have beaten at least 10 other teams playing like that, its just that teh blues and pagan are on a mission, will it last , time will tell.

we played 2 and 1/2  good quarters then as we got in front, we relaxed and went too defensive, lack of match thinking and practice killed us along with some dreadful skills at times.

we will learn from this game and learn fast,

i bet v the swans we will not over use the handball.

not talking negatives anymore
just want to point out some positives

1/ our fwd line was efficient and not as predictable
2/ krak lookied like his fitness has improved 10 fold
3/ tiv played imo the best game in his career
4/ foley
5/ howat
6/ moore mad e an error or but was not alone, but he showed real good signs
7/ mguane, i thought won his battle, he was really goos imho
8/ polak showed signs that he will be the trade of the season(forget aker)
9/ petts although lazy at times is showing that he is gonna be a more consistant player
10/ we played with no ruck stocks and a small defence and still did not get smashed
11/ when we played on our terms and with space we looked damn good
12/ many players were down on the night which means one thing, we will get better
13/ bring on the swans , i sense an upset coming!

I watched the replay on Fow last night as well X and I agree with you, we played well for over 1/2 the game. we went defensive as much as Carlton shut us down  in the last 1 1/2 quaters.

I like your list of positives especially Tiv i thought he played an awsome game, he did fantastic on shutting down Stephens when he was on him. Krak was going well until Pagan pulled Lapin away, im not sure who he put on him but it did slow him down.

Yes there was some skill errors and some bad choices (over use of the handball) but IMO better than what we have seen over the last few years.

I Still dont know how we are going to go against Sydney with NO ruck and a small backline but i have enough faith to tip then this week.

Unless you're still copping a ribbing from workmates who you gave crap to all last year. All their teams won on the weekend  :scream.

not talking negatives anymore
just want to point out some positives

Good points X!I had a bottle of cab sav in me by the end of the game...calms me down a lot quicker than Tuesday!
