Connors must be injured. This is the 3rd week he has been missing. Hope it's not something long-term like OP or anything.

Hughes at FB :-\

Bump. Catch the young cubs today at Coburg  :thumbsup.

Btw any truth to this rumour on BF:

Connors was suspended by the club for a couple of matches for an off-field incident.

Disappointing that a Coburg side half full of RFC players got flogged. Sheesh we can't take a trick with injuries to our KPPs  :banghead. Let's hope it isn't as serious as it sounds. Good to see Edwards named in the bests again though as well as Jake King.

Btw Limbach kicked 5 for Willy today.

Edwards has been putting his hand up throughout the preseason and now in the first game for Coburg. If it was good enough for Collingwood 12 months ago to stick in Dale Thomas straight away then I cant see why Edwards cant get a reward with a debut against an arch enemy. I also wanna see Oakley-Nicholls get a run early this season.

Edwards seems to be the only one putting his hand up on a regular basis at Coburg. He played senior SANFL last year as a junior so agree Ramps why not give him a go. It doesn't help when there's so little pressure for spots in the Richmond side.

Missed a bit of the game as I was enjoying the new food from the re-vamped canteen and the most delicious lunch in the social club :cheers :cheers ;D

But from what I saw...

These are the RFC boys who played for Coburg yesterday in the seniors:

Jack Reiwoldt - not a great day for Jack - really struggled. Started at CHF had very little impact and then was moved to defence. Topped off an ordinary day with hurting his ankle

Shane Edwards - very classy player. Shows a lot of promise

Jake King - I thought he was the best of the RFC boys

Danny Meyer - didn't see much of Danny at all - first qtr yep on the HFF but not much after that  :-\

Daniel Jackson - coaches gave him BOG he had a tagging role on one of the Bullants main mid-fielders. His disposal continues to let him down

JON - started really well running through from CHB got the first goal. Was certainly not the worst, actually was one of the better RFC guys stuck to his task all day. Run would do him good

Brent Hartigan - played mainly across HF and the wing. Was Ok but disposal ....

Cleve Hughes - started at FF finished at FB - that's it really

Matt White - solid but not specatular.

Trav Casserley - on and off the bench - little impact. Needs to work on the defensive side of game (gee I say that alot)

Andrew Collins - looks really promising but so lean. Good skills.

Gus Graham - has a lot to learn. Tried hard but was beaten in the ruck. Actually to all of those who have been saying he should be playing in the seniors - I will repeat what I've said before he isn't ready

Tas Clingan - shows a bit but needs to work on his disposal (hmm I say that alot as well ;D)

Dirty day for the Burgers. Interestingly - oldest player running around for Coburg was 23 :o Brent Hartigan was one of the oldest and most experienced at 22 :o Bullants had 3 blokes who were 26. Big bodies -v- young cubs that was the story of the day.

I think Coburg will get better - their Captain (and oldest player at 23 going on 24) should be back next week
