Sad to hear Johns has been forced into retirement due to another neck injury.

Do rugby players have necks?  8)

Yeah, can't stand the sport but he's a superstar of it. Hope his injury heals and doesn't give him grief in day to day life.

The NRL has the better footy show IMO. It must have been tough for Matthew Johns to tell his brother he should retire.

Not for me.
I only watch TFS 4 or 5 times a year. No big fan of it but I tend to always find myself chuckling and entertained for a lot of the show.
I've found the couple of times I've watched the NRL version to be quite a chore, except for the pre-recorded skits which are pretty amusing. I'm not into slick productions but I think this show is amateur hour personified.
What's with their studio audiences? Always seems to be a fair proportion of loudmouth bogans.

Good decision.  Gordon Tallis told Joey a couple of months ago to retire before he did more damage to his neck.  Tallis has to retire for the same reason.

You've got to wonder what it'll do to Joey's legend status are admitting tonight on the NRL footy show he's taken XTC on and off for 10 years.

True Ox. Johns was straight up about it and made no excuses.

We all know there's drugs in all footy codes but it's still a surprise when someone like Joey admits to it.

Agree.  They generally just have fun rather than trying to create sensationalist dicks of themselves lol.
And don't have jokes at the expense of others.
Not crazy about the game and don't know many of the people, but it's a harmless, fun show.
