Gutted
« on: April 13, 2007, 10:36:21 PM »
I was banging my head during the game but now just feel gutted. It's like we'll never get out of this hole of failure  :'(. It like 1987 revisited where we gave up games that should have been won week after week early in the season. Loses like this kill a club's year. Eventually the floodgates open when the team gives up after getting so close so often and you cop hiding after hiding  :'(.

Yes MT I understand, we actually if you really look at it have a very difficult draw. The Collingwood game tonight and the carlton game were the only two games in the first 6 that I thought we could realistically win, even before the start of the season and before all our injuries. We might not win a game in the first 11 matches.

think this year will be defining for a number of our players and assistant coaches.

It's hard to where the change will come from. We've changed players, coaches, recruiters, etc and we still see the same soft minded crap like tonight.

Not enough urgency in the players.

We dont have any hard runners.

No one runs past to receive a handball.

Too many indirect kicks.

Too many players contesting against each other(Richo/Shultz)

A coach that doesnt know what to do

I don't know what's worse.  The lousy outcome, supporters turning on the club or the thought of my dad ringing me up and crowing about Collingwood.  I kept thinking how Diggler on PRE was always ripping up his membership card.  Maybe I should switch codes.  Go the Titans!

Ok, I have been holding my tongue for a few weeks now but after that game ( if you can call it that) I think I need to get a few things off my chest.

1. TW has been out coached the last three weeks.
2. Either we lack the fitness to run with other teams for 4 quaters or the game plan is wrong becasue the in the last three weeks there as been so many players running around with nobody near them in the second half of games.
3. We can't hold tackles half the time.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
VERY IMPORTANT !!!!

4.  WHERE ARE OUR KIDS ????  (2005 and 2006)   I haven't checked it out but I would think we are the only team this week without one single player that has been drafted in the last two years. (not counting rookie elevations) Have we stuffed up those drafts ? Is our training methods for these guys wrong ? Are we not giving them the chances ?  This is very worring for me as many other teams are showing that their Kids can step up. Our 2004 draft group are Ok but we need to get guys EVERY year if we are going to catch up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Our team struture just seams wrong.  eg Gas on Medhurt, Bowden on Rocca,  Polak up forward when we have Richo and Shultz there.  Some of this stuff just seems plain wrong to me.  Am I alone?

6. Some off our improvers from last year seem to be lost .  eg Rainsy, Patto, Howat and a few more.  Whats has happened to them?

I love the Tigers (even tipped them this week) but I would say on the games I have seen so far that 15th or 16th is where we finish.  Who is going as the #1 pick in the draft (never thought I would say that 3 games into the season  :(  )

Yeah, especially when he doesn't have a clue about the game.
