* Believes the game today is about momentum. When we don't have it we failed to shut down the opposition. Had 4 guys to do jobs last night including on Burns and they couldn't do it. When we have the momentum we failed to make the most of our chances.

* Still doesn't believe it's fitness as he said last night. No fitness issue before and fitness parameters are up on last year.

* Ask about why we don't bury sides? He says there's two parts to that 1) we missed gettable shots 2) we don't have gamebreakers. He looked out on the ground last night and didn't see who would give us that spark.

* There were bright spots last night. Foley was about the only one who got close to being that gamebreaker. Thought his work in the midfield was excellent. Tambling played well for 3 quarters and he will become a player. Schulz efforts up forward including that mark near the end when he put his body on the line. He would have kicked 4 if he wasn't dazed such is his accuracy.

* Krak - Walls was critical saying for a soon to be 100 game player he doesn't do enough and doesn't contest enough. Terry said he wouldn't have thought Krak's contesting is a problem. Rhyce Shaw got hold off him a few times but he ended up with 3 goals so he made the most of his chances as a forward.

* Pettifer - Very good past two years but has been down so far this year.

bs! he ran the players to death in teh preseason and they are all spent now, fitness parameters pigs but, its not what they do at training , fastest times, best tans etc etc its how they run out games on game day, who gives a frogs tit that they have all improved the tan by 1 second!

we have game breakers, but they are not allowed to break games open cos they play out of position, lids joel, blingers, etc and we dont have any rhythm cos he rotates to damn fast and alows no one to settle

tambling was starting to burn, and why did he only play 3 good qts, becace wallace the tool had him on the pine for most of teh 3rd quarter! the premiership quarter. wallace give it up

walls is fos, krak contested very hard, he kicked 3 should have had 4, what else is a small fwd meant to do, he also had a hand in many attacks, krack and foley are our only 2 players who contest , and krak is awesome in congested situations, he will always be the scapegoat along with tivendale, tivendales only flaw is he goes missing when the going gets tough and he is a senior bloke with no leadership

wallace has to stop making excuses and start coaching th eteam properly, stuff his game plan off, footy is not a complicated game, keep it simple, let players play their natural game as paul roos lets teh swans do it, ppl say the swans p[lay ugle, they dont, when they put the foot down they are the fastest and quickest moving team around, they just know when and where to keep it tight or explode

Disagree X. Petts was woeful. Once you cross that line you're saying you're 100%. He shirked contests last night and got rightfully dragged. The one with Heath Shaw was unforgiveable. Probably Petts worse game under Wallace.

The Swans do play ugly footy but it suits the players they have and as you say X it still allows them to play their natural game and with flair. Plough is trying to manufacture our playing group to play his theorectical gameplan and they can't. A coach can have his ideas and teamrules but they need to be flexible enough to get the best out of his players as a team. You can only work with the tools you have.

The gameplan or they way we are doing it is too safe, inefficient and technical. You've eventually got to back your teammates to win a contest and support them in numbers. The best footballers work on intuition within the stuff set down by the coach.

As for the captaincy, well we already know we don't have an obvious candidate on our list. It wouldn't matter who was captain. You're not going to win any games when 15 out of the 22 have just one kick or less in the final quarter when the game is on the line.

OK so then I ask this, why the efn hell when we had the momentum in the first quater did Joel Bowden signal a timeout in the last minute or so.
If the team got to that position by attacking the game why do they not try to get another instead of playing fukcen ring-a-rosy.
That's my opinion on those 2 quotes.

I have never been here nor there on Bowden, but one of my mates that I go to the footy with is not unlike a certain poster on here. When he does that type of poo I can see where these people are coming from.

Wallace has recruited a side to run but at times they just refuse to do it, me no undersatnd WTF is going on.

We will win games we are not expected and finish in the middle rung again 9-14 so where the hell are we going.

Ohh and another thing I am starting to agree on is that Kane Johnson is a captains asrhole.

RICHMOND coach Terry Wallace is maintaining his glass half-full approach despite his Tigers losing three from three so far this season after being in a winning position in every game.

Collingwood, missing a clutch of stars and with three players on debut, mounted an inspired comeback on Friday night to turn a 22-point half-time deficit into a 25-point win, 17.13 (115) to 13.12 (90).

In both Richmond's first two matches it was ahead at various stages before going down by 17 points to Carlton in the opening round and 16 points to Sydney in round two. But Wallace yesterday focused on positives, highlighting the efforts of youngsters Nathan Foley, Jay Schulz and Richard Tambling against Collingwood.

"In every game, no matter how bad they are, there is always some positive points to come out of it," Wallace said on 3AW yesterday. "I found a few rays of sunshine in the match. I thought we had three of our younger boys that played particularly well and just took a step.

"I thought Nathan Foley was outstanding. Talk about game-breakers. I thought he was the only one of our midfield group who looked likely to be able to take the game on and be able to do anything with it.

"I thought for three quarters Richard Tambling was excellent and showed that he will be a player at the level. And I thought Jay Schulz took a step up … He has finished with three (goals) and could have quite easily finished with four."

Wallace was disappointed with the Tigers but said his team had shown it was capable of challenging good teams if it was disciplined and carried out instructions.

"We believe that we had a side out there that was well and truly capable of winning the game," Wallace said. "It was a mental challenge to a few of our guys and they weren't able to stand up to it. So that was particularly disappointing.

"When we play to our structures and our game plans, we are competitive against most sides. I think most teams, if you play to your structures and styles you can have success in a very even competition. As soon as you step away from them, you're not going to beat anyone."
