Hi there
Just a brief post to advise Richmond Supporters of an upcoming Richmond history book I have been working on since 1999.

This book is scheduled to be release in December 2007, and will encapsulate all of Richmond's history from 1885 with never before published photos and original interviews.
More details to follow as we get closer to the publication.

Should any supporter have any interesting photographs of material that think may be relevant for the publication, please contact me

We are just interested in any photos people may have in their collections of players, events, moments that they think might be good in a book, or any sort of cuttings, letter, invitations that they think people would like to see.

I know in some cases we have relatives of former players post on here, so they may have interesting content in scrapbooks that they may wish to have published.

Rhett.

Another question Rhett. Is it only about the Richmond seniors Rhett or will the book also contain some info from lower levels too (U19's say)?

You can now order Rhett's book which will be released in November.

"The Tigers" - A Century of League Football

Discover the real truth behind Tigerland's biggest names, incidents and happenings ...

The Richmond Football Club joined the VFL 100 years ago, and soon established itself as one of the competition's power clubs.

The Tigers have enjoyed a rich, colourful century, snaring 10 premierships and creating some genuine legends of the game along the way.

The voice of this fascinating book is that of the players and coaches themselves. Historian Rhett Bartlett has interviewed more than 50 Tiger players and coaches,
some of whole careers at Punt Road date back to the 1920s.

From Joe Murdoch to Jack Dyer, Tommy Hafey to Francis Bourke, the politics, passion and glory of a great club are told in a stunning array of first-person recollections that lift the lid on so many remarkable Tigerland moments.

It's a must-read publication for anyone with Yellow and Black blood in their veins, and the perfect Christmas or Birthday gift. So take advantage of this amazing pre-release offer:

Books arrive in November 2007
