We need a genuine skillful inside ballwinner.

who doesn't?  unfortunately perfect players don't grow on trees. we miss coughlan big time, his absence is hurting the development of blokes like tambling / meyer / polo. connors is a pretty tough customer, hopefully he'll start to come thru after another preseason.

patience.

Talk of Saints leaving after this year is going to gather steam after today. Butterss came out of the blue this morning on SEN and accused Thomas (Butterss said an ex-coach) of undermining the club via his relationship with the players.

I think Butterss personal conflict may have screwed the Saints. In hindsight, Thomas was a very capable coach and they will pay for letting him go.

When a Club president says that even if the coach had won a flag he would've still been sacked then his dismissal obviously had nothing to do with the coach's performance. The question mark over Thomas will always be why did so many Saints keep copping injuries under his coaching and why did the list go backwards since 2004. Then again nothing much has changed under Lyon.

For the Saints' future Butterss needs to go now as well.

Yep Cogs has been a big loss. Just goes to show how good Foley has been without much help.

They've got some Saints official on SEN now saying they what Butterss said needed to be said, the board supports it and they won't say anything or go into details because it would unfairly embarrass their young leaders/players. Things happening behind the scenes which are inappropriate. A journo asked if it was anything illegal and the official wouldn't answer that. They won't though or can't stop players talking to anyone.

So by saying nothing the Saints have embarrassed their current coach by saying he doesn't have the ear of all the players and these players can't distinguish between the old coach and new coach  :whistle.

Probably garbage but the latest rumour flying around is Dal Santo wants out of the Saints.

Thanks but no thanks

Before this year I would be jumping at Dal Santo, but this year it is showing that he is a downhill skier. Hayes coming off a knee-reco and Ball being belted from head to toe means that he has had to win his own ball, something which he is struggling to do.

If Dal Santo is the best player available in the PSD and hes salary isnt clearly over the top and we have the 1st pick we are obligated to take him.

In that situation yes but not as a result of a trade

Some caller on the radio the other day reckons Dal Santo has been playing with a broken toe over the past month.

Perhaps it was Nick trying to make excuses for his poor form  :rollin

Ch 7 are claiming "comedian" Steve Bedwell is going to challenge Butterss and there are some out there claims by Saint supporters about what's going on  http://www.saintsational.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31260
