You gotta love the way that Edwards goes about it, he is going to be a real talent in a couple of years.

Has real footy smarts and become one of our standout players.

favourite part of the game was when we were coming out of defence and he took that fantastic contested mark at CHB  :clapping

terry like that too! see him smiling in the box

even when edwards took them all on, sure he missed the goal , but the way he went about.  u could see on terrys face in the box that he knows this kid is gonna be something "speaciaaaaaaaaaal"

that was gold. Fantastic running and evasion, and I thought this is going to be a beaut goal .......... but then he shanked it lol
Shane just hung on the ball a fraction too long. He shanked it left because he saw a Collingwood player coming at him out of the corner of his eye to his right. He had done all the magical hard stuff too. It reminded me of his goal against Hawthorn where he had opponents diving at shadows. Edwards is all class  :thumbsup

Too bad Edwards had a quiet game in our win (his first win) on Friday night. I know it's not really a big deal for the future but he deserves a Rising Star nomination before the season is done.

Brian Royal RFC player review

Shane Edwards

Shane played 17 games in his first year, which is amazing for a kid of his size. What Shane needs now is to get back in the gym, have a big pre-season and try and put on a bit of muscle. He is going to play a lot more footy for the Richmond Football Club in the future.
