will Richo play mainly in defence now gas is history

just a thought, maybe richo will play down back alot this yr with polak.
polak has clean hands, and richo we all know is the best contested mark around.

richo did take some nice marks in defence last week, and we all know he kicks like a backman, so who knows, maybe richo mkII will be playing for us

thoughts?

In the Geelong Addy earlier this week, Wallace didn't give the impression Richo would. I like Richo roaming around and presenting as a marking option to teammates as they run out of defence as he is then hard to match-up on and contain. Use him as a big mobile and agile link player. I always get nervous when I see him in defence and he has never had to close mark an opponent. They close mark him in triplicate instead. He needs to play as a loose man across HB.

This also begs another question and possible re-gig by Wallace. When Terry first arrived he planned for Richo to play a Lynch role in the goalsquare when he got older and started to slow down. I can see that now going out the window. He now either continues to play his current athletic role for the team or retires too.

Id say the latter is a very realistic probability MT or off to another team.

I hope not X, even though he would be a solid mark of the ball in defence, his disposal would simply not stand up to the pressure. No!

Richo for Judd eh '65. Mate I've got an EA falcon, what do you drive, and would you like to do a swap?  :)

Keep Richo out of the defensive 50.

I love the big fella but his ability to make mistakes in the backline is on par with that of Darren Gaspar.

Keep him up just outside the F50 and up to the wings.

Everytime he runs inside 50 either Forward or Defensive he should have to pay a fine to the end of season trip  :thumbsup
