Summary
* When you don't go out and put in solid performance then Geelong is the type of side that can blow sides away. Same thing happened to Carlton in the second half of their game. Performance worst in our history.
* Wiped away all the positives and confidence after the West Coast game in 2 hours. It's going to take a while to get the confidence and trust back from our supporters. It's going to take more than just 2 hours.
* A result like that makes it hard for Terry and Greg to pass on the message we need to be patient. The playing group let Terry down. Young guys were given a chance to impact and Terry has been patient with their development. They (Lids and Raines) didn't grasp it.
* Had we put the cue in the rack and played the youngsters for 2008? March said that's rubbish and that statement has been blown out of proportion. Players will be picked on form. Not only senior players dropped on form as the media have portrayed. We've dropped young guys as well such as Polo. No reason why a Krak, Paddy, Tivs etc could be back this week. They will get picked based on form.
* Gas was asked on the Tuesday or Wednesday by the match committee that his form wasn't better than the young guys so the young guys with equal form would get preference. So he would go back and his opportunities would become more limited because he would have to show his form was significantly better than the young guys to get a game. Gas came back on the Thursday and said he felt in light of the limited opportunities he felt he would get for the remainder of the year he felt he prefer to retire.
