AFL Column The AFL and NRL are considering joining a class-action suit led by the English Premier League against US website giant YouTube after the EPL were fed up with the website screening soccer matches on the site without its permission.

Replays and highlights of AFL and NRL matches have increased in recent times on the site, with users recording footage on television and uploading them on to the site.

The Premier League alleges that by screening such sporting videos, YouTube is "breaching copyrighted intellectual property".

The AFL is yet to make a decision on the matter.

Having the NRL join them as part of a class action on intellectual grounds would surely hinder their case.  8)
