The worst thing that happened last night
« on: June 03, 2007, 03:19:52 AM »
Only one teammate running over to Shane Edwards to congratulate him on his first AFL goal

So much for team spirit and encouraging a cub in only his 5th game ::)

Yet four ran to Kingsley when he got his first goal for the club and the advantage was paid to a free kick Richo earned. Nothing against Kent's goal but unfortunantely it is these small things that are missing in our team that should ALWAYS be there. Players need to get involved more and need to be made more aware of these sort of things.

Confidence plays a big part in young players. You want them contributing and feeling like they contributing to the team. When Edwards kicked the goal we were all going "yeah his first goal, well done Shane" and then looking on in disbelief when there was no reaction from the rest of the teammates bar one. Really ordinary especially in a tight game where goals were at a premium.

Congratulations on your first goal at senior level Shane!  :cheers  :clapping :clapping :clapping

We care...

Btw just out of interest, as I had to listen to it on the radio, who was the player to congratulate him?

yep ... no passion !!!

just like Jake King's first goal ...

no one cared ...

i feel sorry for Richardson, Newman, and some young kids who want to play !

the rest are a joke ...

if you don't have the passion to play for the jumper ... get lost !!!

give Newman the captaincy !!!

or Coughlan !!!

Cause you need the captain to tell you to congratulate a kid on his first goal  ::)

I can't remember Steph who did go over to Shane and I haven't seen the replay. Maybe someone else here can.

A forward at senior level not even making the distance from 35-40m out is disgusting!   :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
