Summary
* Browny pulled up really well. No signs of any pain. Played quite well and was compeittive. Kicked a couple of goals and gave off a couple. Really good.
* Next step - played 40-45 mins on the weekend. Natural extension of that is to play a bit longer. Browny will play with Coburg seniors on Monday. Browny may want to play AFL but too much a jump to play Freo at Subi at this stage. Browny excited to come through. It's been frustrating for him but fingers cross he is on track.
* Very disappointed. Didn't play the style we wanted to early on in the piece. Later in the game played more bravely but didn't get the result which was disappointing.
* Not Brisbane's fault. When you lose the games we've lost your confidence takes a bit of a battering. Go into your shell. To win you've got to take them on and run and carry and attack the game. When we did run and carry late in the game we started to get the results we wanted.
* Execution of skills still hurting the team. Inconsistency there. It's young players who can be up and down. It's just not execution but confidence. We're a young side and you need your senior players up and about which we haven't had. For example Patto is expected to carry the ruck. He's not a ruckman. He's done a fantastic job and got a big motor and tries really hard but he's up against two quality ruckman each week. We're asking him to do a lot. Hopefully over the next 2-3 weeks will have Simmo and Knobel back for the second half of the year.
* Foley has been fantastic. You love guys who haven't had it easy. Always comes through probably as a good centreman who gets after the footy but might be a bit short in spots to play at the next level. He's taken every opportunity. He hasn't worried being on the rookie list and so forth and being elevated, etc... Finally has gotten his opportunity and works harder than anyone else at the club.
* Going over to Perth on Friday, train Saturday and play Sunday.
* McGuane said Browny is a superstar who'll help Richo and benefit immensely guys like Schulz and Petts.
