Robert Harvey's 350th against us
« on: June 17, 2007, 03:19:24 AM »
Spud will be there with his St Kilda socks on  :wallywink

Quote
Harvey is poised to become only the 10th player to play 350 games in the VFL/AFL.

A hamstring injury against Fremantle in round nine has left him stalled on 349 matches. A return after the mid-season break against Richmond is looming as his next milestone game.

That would be about right. A chance to beat a team who is currently finding it hard to kick a winnning score and we have not beaten since 2003. Another milestone game against us to give them that extra stir of passion to come up with the win. I reckon in the last 10 years we have been cursed with milestone crap of other clubs. Only one I remember we won was Silvagni 300th in 2001.
1998 round 16 Essendon v Tigers Shhedy breaks Dick Reynolds coaching record. We lose
10 15 75 to 14 10 94
1998 Round 22 Melbourne had some crap on that day we need to win to make the 8 we lose 19 19 133 to 8 9 57
1999 round 6 Knights 200th yeah we lose to the Bombers 17 11 113 to 11 12 78
1999 Round 18 Wayne Carey's 200th we lose 11 13 79 to 15 11 101
2001 Round 11 beat Carlton in SOS 300th 13 10 88 to 8 13 61
2002 Round 11 Mick Martyn wears his old mans jumper in game against us inspire roos to 11 point win along with some woeful Tivendale misses 14 11 95 to 11 18 84
2002 Round 17 Matthew Knights last game we lose 7 12 54 to 7 11 53
2003 Round 11 Jsaon McCartney comeback game which ended up his retirement match loss 13 11 89 to 13 14 92
2003 Round 19 Nathan Burkes last game big big loss 20 10 130 to 7 8 50
2003 Round 21 Jack Dyer match on the week of his death loss at home to Port 16 8 104 to 18 16 124
2004 Round 2 Melbourne Some more pre match garbage by the Dees Neitz kicks 9 and any joy we had on beating the Pies in rd 1 and having a decent season gone........... Loss 20 15 135 to 12 4 76
2004 Round 15 Matthew Rogers Duncan Kellaway goodbye game loss 11 11 77 to 24 11 155 against the Bombers
2005 Round 22 Wayne Campbell last game for the club loss to Geelong 10 9 69 to 10 8 68.
2006 Round 7 Paul Williams 300th loss to Sydney 9 8 62 to 28 12 180
2006 Round 18 Chris Grant breaks club record for the Dogs. Tigs respond in first quarter by going goalless from 6 shots. Go on to lose 15 10 100 to 10 18 78

Thanks HT,

That is going to bring back some old nightmares of mine  :banghead :banghead

Out of all of those the Knights and Campbell ones had to be the worst.

I remember being really pised off after those two games.

Give the saints the four points now and give Harvey the 3 votes, because that what usually happens

We won for Richo's 200th against Port. I think we also won on Cambo's 250th.

Great achievement by Harvey. Even at 35 or how ever old his is he still finishes in the bests for the Saints each week. Always displayed modesty at the club that lacks it big time.

Is Harvey any certainty to play anyway?

They would be very carefull with him coming back in, if he plays a week earlier and does his hammy again that would nearly be the end of the season for him with his record.

Apparently Harvey is playing this weekend so we miss his 350th milestone.

350 games and Harvey is still able to rack up 30 possies to be one of the Saints bests today. Great effort. Thank god we missed his milestone game as his teammates all lifted for the occasion.

It should be a good game next week. Let's hope it's close as they have owned us the past 4 years. Milne and their ruckman Blake were reported too.
