Will it being wet help us Friday night?
« on: June 21, 2007, 04:32:28 AM »
Do you peoples think it being wet will help us Friday night?

Last year we played the Pies on a wet track and flogged them despite being underdogs. When it's wet, the flashy skills especially with handball are usually chucked out the window. Just K.I.S.S., play hard in front and get the ball forward quickly and directly. Even up the skill levels of both sides.

we generally play ok in the wet, and i think thats why krak will be named as he plays wet footy as if it is dry, and because wet grounds slow the pace down it suits krak to a T

I must admit it rained all day on the Saturday as I was at the Essendon v St Kilda match and virtually all day Sunday when we beat the Pies last year. It needs to rain substantially before tomorrow so that the MCG superior drainage can be compromised but assuming it will be wet it will suit us to a tea as we are not the most skilled side and we will adapt better to the conditions. Krak will come in and kick 3 goals if it is wet. I will expect guys like Foley to dominate and Tambling to put in a blinder as well.
