Lids - 2007 Brownlow Smokey

anyone else think that Lids could be a real smokey for the Brownlow.

I think he is an excellent outside chance and might take a punt on him

To this stage IMO he could have as much as 7 brownlow votes

Rd 2 vs Sydney - 1 vote
Rd 7 vs PA - 1 vote
Rd 9 vs Essendon - 3 votes (Hird as BOG  )
Rd 12 vs Melbourne - 2 votes

He is carrying great form into the 2nd half of the season and could definitely rack up a few more brownlow votes. And if he doesn't win it this year there is always next year

No chance, but it will be interesting to see if he attracts umpires attention in a losing team.

My first post was a bit tongue in cheek, because Lids most likely won't win it.

But I feel that a top 10 finish is not beyond him this year

IMO Richo will be our best vote getter. Just busts his guts out every week and would be close to the 3 votes last Friday night. Foley could be a show but it might take another year before the umps recognise him. Defenders usual miss out so Polak despite his form may not get too many votes.

Lids plays a flashy game through the midfield, IMO would be noticed more than Richo
