I clearly do not get it - apart from the biased shown towards Richmond, I can not believe what the bummers get away with.
twice davey has chased a demon going into attack 2 hands straight in the back 'NOTHING'
Lucas tried to use his ellbows but ended up hand straight in the back 'paid the mark'
geez I wait for the day these things go our way.
u know i watch the lucas one and compare to richo's where richos hand wasin the side Fkuk me dead.
what do you say - f off a saur

Yep some odd decisions tonight. Those two Alwyn Davey pushes in the back not paid and Lloyd's mark that should have been a paid a mark. But really Melbourne only have themselves to blame. You can't give the opposition a 6 goal start and then in the last when you're in front and on top you can't kick 3 points in a row and kick 2.6.

Like us they didn't hold onto possession in the last couple of minutes. Went long to 50/50 contests instead chipping it around and taking time off the clock. They also had no one down and goal side of that last pack contest with 6 secs to go. The ball went over the top and Lucas could have raffled it with 2 other bombers.

Another win to the Dons on the smaller grounds where they don't get exposed as much for their lack of pace in the midfield and which suits more old school footy. Everyone is saying they have a tough draw over the next month but 3 of the 4 games are at the smaller Dome.

Back luck to Neale Daniher. Pretty incredible scenes at the end where he was cheered off by Demon supporters and Neitz and Robertson were in tears. A bit different to Spud's exit lol.

Odd comment.

Who'd believe with 6 seconds to go Lucas would kick the winning goal?  Felt sorry for Daniher.  Lucas definitely had his hands in the defender's back.  If it had been Richo they would have awarded the free against him.

There were a few that should have gone Essendon's way that were missed - so I reckon the umpiring wasn't a factor.  But a per usual, the Bombers find a team that can't kick straight in the last quarter, giving them the opportunity to capitalise.  They seem to be blessed this year with "luck", nothing more!

Actually they are funny Club Essendon - strange supporters they have ( work with a few) and they just don't get it - that is how foruntate they've been over the last 2 decades but that's another story for another day...

What I did want to say is that last year the Bummers couldn't win a close game and ended up near the bottome. This season they are winning those close games and they sit in the top 8 and Sheeds will probably get offered a contract extenison within the nex month...  I wonder if he'll sign .....  :rollin

The Tigers have (with the expection of the Melb, Cats and Port games) had close games all season and haven't won any and look where they are .... very similar with the Bummers 2006

Next month will see where the Bombers finish. Geelong, Dogs and Adelaide at the Dome plus Pies at the 'G. Sides they are challenging for the top 8 with yet 3 games at the smaller Dome which suits the Dons. If they win 3 of them then they are fairly safe; if they only go 1-3 then with 2 trips to Subi to come they still could miss the finals.
