Liverpool 4 - 0 Bolton
The best news from this is Kewell is in the starting 11 of a in-form Liverpool side and playing a key role. Hopefully he now stays injury free (touchwood) by the time the World Cup qualifiers come around.

LOL. That'll teach them for starting Kewell on the bench.

Not EPL but all 4 pommie sides got through to the final 16 of the Champions league.

England: Ar_senal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool
Scotland: Celtic
Italy: AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma
Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla
Greece: Olympiakos
Germany: Schalke
France: Lyon
Portugal: Porto
Turkey: Fenerbahce

Only 4 changes from last year.

The top two have cemented their spots overnight....

Liverpool 0 - 1 Man Utd
Ar_senal 1 - 0 Chelsea

Special mention to Inverness Caledonian Thistle who came from 0-2 down to beat Celtic 3-2 in Scotland. ICT is famous for the newspaper headline based on Mary Poppins - "Super-Cally-Was-Terrific-Celtic-Was-Atrocious" after knocking off Celtic a few years ago in the Scottish FA Cup.

QPR could be the next English club to rise out of nowhere (they're last in the championship now) as the family of the richest man in Britain, steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, has bought a 20 percent stake in League Championship soccer club Queens Park Rangers.

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/12/20/sports/EU-SPT-SOC-QPR-Mittal.php#end_main

The club, which was taken over by Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone and Renault team boss Flavio Briatore in November, did not disclose the sum paid for the stake.

Mittal was ranked the fifth-richest man in the world this year by Forbes magazine, which estimated his worth at US$32 billion (€22.3 billion) in August.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was ranked 16th on the Forbes List. Chelsea is located just 5.6 kilometers (3.5 miles) from Queens Park Rangers in West London.

West London home of the rich and famous
Will make for some very affluent derby matches with Fulham owned by the Harrods owner Dodi Al Fayed and Abramovich's Chelsea.
For followeres of English football QPR were an integral part of the old English Division 1 and Premier League until they got relegated in 1996.
It seems club ownership is becoming a more too apparent thing in English football but even so I cannot envisage the big 3 Man Utd Liverpool Arsenal being threatened by this as once these sugar daddys spend so-o-o-o-o much money for little or success they will move on and spend their money on other projects.
