It's all very well to say they're duds and why are we playing them.
If we can get some good games out of them in the last couple of rounds, they may not be a total loss, even if it's just trade value.
What is to be gained otherwise if we leave them in the seconds to finish their careers at the club?
Nothing.
So why not play them? You try all avenues to get value out of your list. You don't just say bye-bye and not try and extract some interest from other clubs. If they fail, so be it, but at least to me it's good management to play them. I think Schulz is capable of playing some good games and might be another one that comes on at another club given a second chance. Prefer it was at Richmond, but it ain't happening.
Riewoldt's not going anywhere (as in head on chopping block, not his form) and it's not as if our existence in this competition matters if he plays or not. He'll still gain valuable experience at Coburg!
