Alternatively the decision on him was probably already made and they played him to see if he could change their minds with a strong showing.

We've brought in 4 talls. Not all will play but Port have a tall forward line. It wouldn't surprise me if Jack and Luke come in and one of Tambo or Howat go out. If Tambo is dropped the media will make a big deal of it.

It is clearly not based on one performance - it is based on several years of training and matches.

He was absolutely hopeless and needs to go back to the Burger's for it to give other blokes a go if he cant grab it.

If he is committed enough to dominate at Coburg he'll get another crack before the years out.  Pretty fair I reckon.
