3. Richo - showed up for his 250th. Too bad his teammates didn't  :banghead.

2. Edwards - votes for the future. At least had a brain out there and tried hard.

1. Jack - I told WP at the game if Jack kicked a 3rd goal I'll give him a vote.

4- Richo played 250 games for a club who more often than not put up garbage like that today. You are a 5 star performer interms of passion loyalty and committment.
3- Luke McGuane played on Westhoff who has been kicking 3 or 4 goals each week. Stuck to his task admirably while everything else was falling around him in a defense that conceded 24 goals.
2- Shane Edwards- tough player who is definentely one for the future as Mighty Tiges mentioned.
1 Jack Riewoldt - 3 great goals and presented well. Hopefully Terry plays him for the rest of the year.

Special mentions to Jack and Edwards (must play out the year)

And then get Conners in the team.

3. Edwards
2. Jack
1. Willt  ;) (a mate was watching the channel 7 broadcast and that is their nick for him)

Wanted to squeeze in the Cho for his effort, but couldn't.

And I agree with CUB that Edwards and Jack need to play out the year.

No point sending them back to Coburg, Jack has already spent the best part of 3 years there developing, and Edwards is just way to good for VFL.

Both need AFL EXPERIENCE. Leaving them in the senior side might very well fast-track there development ala Patto.

Give Connors, Casserly, JON, Hughes, Meyer a taste before years end I say

3 - Richo - for being a true leader out there today

2 - Edwards - gets 1 for simply being a footballer

1 - Jack - because he is the future

Now I haven't given a Golden Turnup nomination for quite a few weeks now but today I think it is only fitting to re-instate it because ...well.. there were so many worthy and I do mean worthy blokes out there today.

Honourable mentions go to: Chris Hyde - when he should stop and look he plays on, when he should play on he stops and props, his 2nd quarter shot at goal that ended up on the full was mid boggling stuff but unfortnately he misses out.

Troy Simmonds I've given him a pardon cause well I just think he still not quite right but a senior player not being able to hit a team mate 20 metres away when you're under no pressure is well  :banghead like

Daniel Jackson - in the immortal words of Dr Phil "what were you thinking?" Actually I think Daniled has spending too much time around Chris Hyde - refer stopping and playing on and getting that balance right  :-\

But the most worthy of them all was a fellow who had 35 odd possesions but as I've said elsewhere they weren't exactly worthwhile for the team, he was given a tagging job and well I just wont go there but this should give ya a hint  :banghead :banghead .. his body language for most of the day was nothing short of terrible and I for one have not been this disappointed in this bloke for at least 5 years - he lost me a fair bit today...

The Golden Turnup (aka Johnny Manton Medal) nominee this week is Bowden J

3. McGuane- shows a bit of 'C', or mongrel, depending on how the censor is feeling.
2. Foley- was below his best yesterday but still one of our best  ::)
1. Riewoldt- for the speccy over Richo in the last, should've told Richo where to go after it too.

Hon mention to Edwards and Polak again wasn't bad. Richo will never get a vote off me while he has a go at young fellas for jumping on his back. He needs to accept what his place at the club is going to be for his last 50 games, and yes that is as a step ladder for Schultz and Riewoldt.
Experience is a good school. But the fees are high.
