How exactly is it Chris Hyde's fault that he was hot every time someone passed the ball to him.
Everyone is hot all the time, they don't work hard enough to get into space, lose opponents and defend opponents.
Hydey lacks awareness and doesn't use the first option thereby running himself into trouble and either getting caught or rushing a disposal. He tries to beat an opponent and think about disposing of it. Rainesy has got into this habit too. I was watching the game with WP yesterday and we watched Hydey carefully. He 95% of the time plays on all the time no matter the situation and even when he shouldn't do it. Then the one time he shouldn't have stopped he stops. He lacks footy smarts big time.
He's not Robinson Crusoe in that department mind you. Jacko is another. That mark 50m out was a lesson in not what to do. He had to go quickly to a teammate while the forward line was open otherwise he then has to take the responsibility of taking the shot at goal. Instead he kicks sideways where a Port player picks it off.
Joel looked totally disinterested yesterday. A very selfish game considering it was Richo's 250th. He was running around like a volvo driver oblivious to what was going on around him.
As far as delistings - Gas (already gone), Hall, Knobel, Kingsley, Hartigan, Moore will have a cross already against their names. A fair few talls in that lot of six. Given the weak draft the delistings won't probably be as extensive as some hope.
