THIS WEEKEveryone has a lot of time for the Swans as a club and a footy team. So, our main goal is to get a win on the board against a good opposition on their home ground.
In round two, they got away from us in the last quarter as we were unable to go with their midfield. However, this time we are travelling together with a relatively young side for a couple of days which is going to provide us with a good opportunity to get a victory on the board.
SHAKING THE SYDNEY SWANS “TAG”Clearances are going to be a key component to this weekend’s game. Fortunately, our clearances statistics for this year stack up well. So, I think we will be able to handle the type of game they have become well known for.
INJURED SWANSWe have prepared as though both Barry Hall and Tadhg Kennelly will play –it is the better than being under prepared. We have put a lot of time and respect into the opposition, but, the way we go about our game this weekend is going to be our main focus.
OUR FRAME OF MINDOur frame of mind has been pretty good. We have had an excellent week and changed a couple of things, subtly. We have also put a bit of ownership back onto the players and how they go about things and take control of their own actions, so to speak. It all comes at a good time with a young side going interstate to be challenged and determine where we stack up.
When last we met:Richmond v Sydney Swans at the MCG, round two, 2007:
