Unless you barrack for them....

It'd be the easiest job around, show a little glimpse of skill, get a big fat contract, then never tackle, gut run or mind an opponent till next contract time.
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

Fair point WP. We have drafted well last year and Collins is getting big wraps as a coach.

But do you think Terry and co are good enough to bring them on? I'm not overly impressed with the development of the class of 2004.

I reckon with the exception of Meyer the class of 2004 have all shown enough for me to think they'll be OK.

I think the improvement in Pattison this season has been above expectation and this year because of what he has had to do has probably been incredibly beneficial to his long term development. When I look at Pattison I similarities to Benny Gale who took a few years longer than the likes of Knights, Free & Campbell to develop.

I know people are critical of Tambling but I have seen marked improvement in him this year, defensively he's improved but having said that still needs to improve. What he needs more than anything is consistency. But hey is is still only 20.

McGuane has come on this year - yep needs to get bigger but compared to this time last year - improved.

McCrae has been a huge win for the RFC - excellent at his job and definitely staying (especially now Voss has made a smart decision and opted out of coaching in 2008). He's only been there 10 months - I think we will see the benefits of his work in 2008 more so than 2007

Agree WP. All the more reason to boost $$$ in development as well as recruiting as the Club plans to do.

Today was great from several points of  view. We have some big game players who are not afraid of the big stage- Brett Deledio is the next captain.

Some worrying signs, some efforts early on were pitiful and soft. Anyway we won, now lets lose next week coz we need the picks.

Towards the end of the game, I think the players could be excused.  The pace seemed pretty quick all night and fatigue would have set in.  Shame James Hird and Sheeds were so inconsiderate to make all the players wait for them in the guard of honour whilst they slowly did a lap of honour, delaying the players of their cool down.
