When there's a couple of minutes tops to go and you're 1 point up you'd surely totally flood the oppositions forward line.
We have been the match stifling experts for 4 years but didn't do it for the last minute today.

For the first time ever I was not traumatised after losing to Collingwood. It hit me after the game how much I want the priority pick. Not saying we would or should be tanking but the system sucks and we need it to work for us while we're not good enough.

Fantastic effort Tiges - you would have impressed your new coach enormously.
Some shocking umpiring decisions - well shocking rules that can ruin a game.

Hope the Hawks have a shocker tomorrow  :thumbsup

Agree froars that some of the rules now are against the spirit of the game. You can't blame the umpies for those. Although you can blame the umpire that paid holding the ball against Fiora just on 3/4 time when instead Fiora had his read pulled off. Proved to be costly in the end.

The other thing you need to make sure of is that you have blokes on the ground to mop up after a marking contest. I know I am highly critical of Chaffey but..............

With 40 seconds to go and Bowden's backing back into a pack (again) Chaffey flying for the same mark and making us one short on the ground was costly IMO

The game changed at the start of the third with ottens off.
Two late frees which weren't there in front of goal for the pies late in the qtr proved costly.
Johnson,Bowden and Newman are defnitely my choices to be with us next year.
Hyde and the ever improving Rodan are not far behind.
Zantuck seems to provide an interesting foward option. He has good upper body strength and uses this to his advantage in one on one situations.Undecided about him at present.
Houlihan missed that sitter in the last and that moment sums up his time at Tigerland.
Gaspar is a finished player at Richmond.Send him back to the Fockers please.
