Experience Generation Next LOL

Or whatever the membership campaign was. I remember the club had a similar campaign afew years back...and we were pitiful then to. So lets forget about these gimmicks about dressing the players up to look like James Bond lol...because its a farce ... was before, is today. Richmond needs to forget the gimmicks and just run a footy club properly. The campaign was and is now a total embarrassment.

So we should stop trying to attract members to the club?

So we bag a campaign that led to a club record membership of over 30,000 members for the first time without any bandwagon help from on-field results and that other clubs tried to copy  ::).

Come up for air people  :whistle

Richmond supporters will always support the club, my question is what good is it to place the image of a group of youngsters the way we did it?

The only problem I have with it is everytime we make a player(s) our poster boy it seems to curse them  :-\. Richo and all his injuries; Cogs' OP and 2 knee recos; Polo & Tambo's shoulders; Rainsey has been carrying some niggle all year and has "2nd year" blues; Lids has struggled with heavy tag; Meyer's spent most of the year at Coburg. Probably only Patto has shown improvement from last year although he is still a long way off. The last time we made the finals we only had a tiger's face on the membership card.

Okay I know that's all suspicious crap but sheesh!  :P.

we dont need marketing to recruit members
total waste of money

rfc ppl will always be that, no need to market to sign them up

in order to recruit new members we must sell an exciting competive brand of footy, not some glossy brochure with a a nice slogan!

why did we get 30k this yr, cos many supporters believed in terrys spin!

if terry stays on next yr, watch our membership nose dive!

i will always renue mine, but many wont

I reckon we have 25000 hard core members who sign up irrespective of club or personal circumstances. The non ticketed membership may take a big hammering though coz they may not donate.

Our budget plans and predictions have been realistic and conservative under Steven Wright and the current admin. That's why we'll still make a $500k profit this year despite only winning one game.

How about using J Bowden and Kane Johnson as the membership poster boys.
Hopefully Bowden gets struck by lightning while he is holding a 9 iron on the golf course and Johnson gets abducted by aliens.
