Most of senior players stood up tonight which allowed the cubs to do their thing. Sugar had a captain's game, Joel for most of the time used the ball long to advantage, Richo worked his guts out and beat Presti, Tucky killed them in the guts and got us moving early, Tivs hit targets with penetrating kicks and Petts acting skills were perfect ( :rollin at that free he got).

Lids showed what a damaging player he can be when moved forward. Patto had his best game. King held duckeggs. Thursty got a fist in most times. Lukey McGuane made a couple of errors but he got better as the game went along. How did Garry Lyon think Cloke deserved 1 vote  ???.

Just one of those games where everything we touched went right like Petts goal from the boundary and Lids snap that bounced over the Collingwood player and away from him through for a goal. Pie fans around us were going nuts over the umpiring. The whistle was put away for holding the ball tonight and push in the back.

Most pleasing we actually played football most of the night. Richo mentioned they simplified things this week and Terry allowed the senior players to organise drills at training. Interesting that tonight Plough tries some surprise moves when he hasn't the past few weeks. They all paid off too. Our forward line looked potent with Richo, Polak, Lids, Browny and Petts.

When we went direct and moved the ball quickly forward we kicked goals in a row yet when we stuffed around with it trying to maintain possession we coughed up goals and let the Pies back in the game. The only negative is our kick-ins still suck with the huddle. We don't use the new play-on immediately rule.

The best thing IMO from last night was when the Pies hit the front and looked like running over us we as a team were able to hang tough and then turn the tide in the second half and kick away to win comfortably. Something we haven't done all year.

Yeah reality will hit again next week against the Eagles in Perth but if you aren;t buzzing after last night then there's something wrong with you  :gotigers.

definitely. looked very dangerous going forward because Richo wasn't the only target.

Polak was the target, Richo was the target, Lids was the target, Browny was the target  :clapping

great win , who cares about the season, it was over 10 weeks ago

what we wanted to see the terry make changes, and he did, in match up, game style etc. sure the players had alot to do with it, but terry allowed it to happen. isnt it amazing what a coach can do when the heat turns to him!

well done

it was a great team effort. everyone played a part.

sure foley was fantastic, and deledio was a machine, and the fwd line just worked for his other

but we cant forget the unsung heroes of the game, tambling work his butt off in the clinches and worked really hard at making sure teh ball did escape contested packs with ease, he was great in and under

and let us not forget the efforts of thursty, mguane and king

and what about patto and is engine and work ethic

sugar played his best game as captain, but i think its time that next yr

deledio is made captain
foley and patto vc's
thursty and tambling dvc's

we can still keep sugar joel and browny in the leadership group , but this change must be made next season

go tigers

blingers wont get what he deserves in terms of praise for a while but he played well last night. No flashy cameos but a solid game. Still needs to work harder defensively IMO but will be good in time

Thank god for oer, cause I can hardly speak.

How good was that.
As a group they must be the most peeweak supporters. Leaving on mass half way through the last.
Good fun giving them the send off tho I must say  :rollin
And no song ffs - not good enough MCG.
Was sung plenty back at Punt road - haven't seen that many there all year  :gobdrop
And Stewie got his second appearance of the season :thumbsup
