I find it ironic that Donald Trump has a competition trying to find a high-flyer who has great business and marketing acumen etc, who can sell sand to the Arabs, et al, only managed to negotiate a $50,000 fee per episode.  He's now asking for $18M, but mind boggles as to how smart he was himself in doing his own wheeling and dealing.

Sounds like NBC screwed him in that little deal - Donald, you're fired  :rollin

Donald Trump wants $18 million (£9.9m) per episode to continue appearing in his US reality series The Apprentice, it was reported in the Wall Street Journal Wednesday.

The newspaper says that the rise - from his current $50,000-an-episode salary - is just one of a list of demands the 58-year-old presented to broadcast network NBC earlier this week.

Also on the list of "requests" are additional creative control, better living situations for the contestants and a personal assistant for himself.

The network is expected to give the 58-year-old a pay rise, but nowhere in the region of what he is asking.

 ;D

Trump probably agreed to go low to get the first series off the ground. He obviously gets free publicity from the show and the ability to show off what places and "toys" he owns. So don't feel too sorry for him. With so many reality tv programs around NBC most likely wouldn't have risked it for any more $$$. Now that the first series was a success and there's no novelty factor for Trump to do a second series he can call the shots. Nothing like making a $US 18 million ambient claim  :o.

Wouldn't mind having a RFC board version of the The Apprentice. Casey, Schwab and Welsh - your continual poor decision making over 5-6 years means - You're fired!  :thumbsup
