Good win against one of the top sides. Coburg now in the the top 4. We might have at least something to get excited about in September  :thumbsup

Morrison appears to have backed up a couple of good games in a row lately. Must be close to promotion.

Great to see Cogs in the best. Be good to hear if he played the whole match or not.

Tuck again named in the best. Is our selection committee taking note?  :sleep

WP will be very happy to see Billy named in the best  ;D

Yes I was very pleased to Bill play well - his tackling a highlight :thumbsup

It was actually a great game. Pretty big crowd too :thumbsup

Here's my run down on the listed Tiger Players:

Morrison - fantastic, marked strongly on the lead, one on one contests and in pack situations. Confidence definitely lifted after he kicked a few goals - must be a chance to come in this week

Marsh - did what he had to do - though does struggle when the ball is at ground level - he doesn't seem to be abel to bend down that far  :lol

Nicholls - great game. Played mainly in the mid-field and his tackling was a highlight as well as his field kicking.

Weller - I see he was named in the best - I thought he did well in the one on one contests

Tuck - very good. Got in trouble a couple of times when he didn't take the first option available but as I said  a very solid 4 quarter effort.

Raines - continues to improve. Must say from the first time I saw to now - the biggest improvement is in 1/ his kicking and 2/ his overhead marking

Coughlan - got better as the game progressed. Typical Cogs' game - at the bottom on the packs. Marked really well and copped a nice whack across the face in the final quarter ;)

Fletcher - VFL player and that is all

Blumfield - was he playing :help

Foley - really strong in the clinches as they say. Disposal let him down a few times

I don't think I forgot anyone ;D

Yes Kyle Archibald did make his long awaited debut for the Coburg seconds. Didn't see the game but was told he did OK. expect more game time for him next week - if he pulls up OK this week

Fantastic effort by Morrison!WP.
As you might be aware I have been on his bandwagon since the Wizard cup.
This performance must be his best so far and should earn him selection as he has been improving over a number of weeks.
Glad to see Weller do alright .
Just wondering did Gilmour get a run at all?
Once again thanks for the report.
Where is Coburg playing this week?I have this weekend free and would love to go and see them!

Gilmour didn't play - groin injury

Coburg play this Saturday (7th) at Coburg City Oval -v- Northern Bullants. I believe it is on the ABC so it would be an early 1.00pm start. I will try an confirm

Tigertailz, personally I was surprised when they dropped him. At the time he was far from our worst. His confidence certainly dropped away after that. But the last few weeks he seems to have regained his confidence, that's reflected in his goal kicking. I would have played him against the Pies ahead of Gaspar. He deserves a game in the seniors this week I reckon.

Looks like they are playing some good footy.
Curious about Nick Raines as well.
How old is he and is he a similar build to Andrew?

Oops I did forget someone - Tom Roach

Roach - was OK - spent some time on the bench (the kids truning into a pine expert). Like Tuck sometimes took the wrong option by going with the second rather than taking the first
