I thought he was reasonable

made some blues but liked his willingness to playon after a mark at CHB

Look I have time for Rainsey. He makes somes blues like in the 3rd when he marked played on got tackled and ball got turned over for one of Gehrig's goals, but he has a willingness to force the play and try to run and create. If he can get his game up to last years levels and beyond and with Jake running off half back also creating play all bodes well for the future for the club. I thought Jacko made 3 "more" critical errors that cost us goals at both ends of the ground in the last quarter.

IMO 3 areas that he needs to improve in are:

1) Kicking
2) peripheral vision in picking up players to handball to
3) show better awareness

rainsey is only in the team cos of his name. he has had a shocker of a season, been in our worst 3 players of teh year.

his kicking is by far close to the worst in our team, ppl bag luke mguanes kicking but his kicking is better than raines, and he does not go side way and miss targets and often as raines.  raines loves missing targets sideways and hitting the boundary line.

jacko also, gets knocked by supporters, his skills and kicking are 100 times better than raines.

raines must improve 500% or next year will definately struggle for a spot with guys lik ejon, casserly and peterson breathing down his neck

i think he tries to do too much most times.

i.e. takes on too many people.

Needs to dish it off to first option more often. He is too predictable and opp. teams know what he is like.

He would be one of the main causes for turnovers.

l will tell you why & what is wrong with him

he needs to be given the ass l got no time for this dud

1. He plays on constantly without even being aware who is around him which costs turnovers
2. his kicks always drop short  or go over players causing turnovers constantly
3. He handballs to players who are hot causes turnovers
4  instead of shepparding his thinking of getting posies does not know what team play is causing turnovers
5. too much run no awareness just blasts the ball away causing turnovers
6. Stand attack side playing as defender duh
7. his player destroys him every week by running off him

stuff l could go on & on just look at Tambling going for the ball & in comes Rewoldt to tackle with Raines in front instead of putting a block or Sheppard on he runs into Tambling head first nearly breaking his own head & putting Tambling out of the contest we lose the ball on a turnover & St-Kilda kicks a costly goal

l want the ball give-me the ball stuff him off trade him his a DUD

spot on monk, little roaches name didnt save him so why is raines being saved. he has no idea about footy ahnd im glad when he screwed up tambling as u mentioned above that blingers didnt get injured, would have been good if raines was inujured more to teach him a lesson and would have been bettr if he needed many stiched in his face, cos all he is relying on at the moment are his dads pretty boy looks

l said to my son l hope that stupid idiot broke his cheekbone
l mean fair dinkum if Tambling got that ball we had players loose everywhere
it was a sure goal to us instead the 1 man player Raines instead of a little block caused the turnover & 2 players crash to the ground & a goal to the saints

Whens the family day l come down & knock the prick out

Raines' main problem is awareness of OTHER players.  He needs to learn that just because a player calls for it they arent always clear and he has to see himself that this is the case and make another decision.

At the moment he runs too far and then when he puts himself into trouble he sells his own man in trouble with a hospital handpass.

Still needs alot of work.

Expected for a 70+ draft pick though.

send him to Collingwood, Essendon or Brisbane they like the Raines
he does more damage than good sorry he dont get nothing from me as a player anyone can gather a ball run & boot it anywhere
