Tigers to rebound

Richmond vice-captain Trent Cotchin is confident the Tigers will quickly put into practice the valuable lessons they learned from last Saturday’s 19-point loss to Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

“We got off to a flyer and played the way we had planned to all week, and it showed on the scoreboard,” said the midfield star.

“They’re a fantastic side and we took it up to them for a fair period of the game, but just didn’t want it enough at the right time.

“We went away from a few things that we were doing really well in the first quarter.  We made some poor errors and went into our shell a bit, and didn’t take the game on like we wanted to in the second half.

Last saturday morning at work I was to Nathan Brown's show on MMM. He was talking about the Christmas break in Bali and how one night he met up with Cotch and was looking forward to hitting the pee with him. At about 9:30pm and only 2 or 3 beers Cotch said that he was done and time to leave. They left together and Browny jump on his hired scooter, when Cotchin stopped him and said "put your helmet on, you have a daughter now."

This bloke is a champ and will be an unbelievable captain. He's the kind of captain that would have said to Dusty yesterday, "pull your bloody head in" and you would, and you would feel so embarrassed he had to tell you that you do everything and anything to win back his favor.
