Tiger fans = loyalty
« on: September 05, 2007, 02:02:16 PM »
Weaver has posted this year's crowd figures on BF. Us Tiger supporters might be mad, feral or whatever lol but no one can say we aren't loyal. Largest support ever for a wooden spoon side  :clapping.

Quote from: Weaver

Coll (99) - 882,374
Carl (05) - 821,496
Carl (06) - 813,585
Rich (04) - 751,914

Meb (97) - 616,311

Collingwood still hold the Home record (11 games)
Coll (99) - 425,526
Rich (07) - 420,807

We obviously hold the away record
Rich (07) - 488,396

It was our 12th best Home attendance (1980 - 559,494). 2nd best away attendance (1998 - 536,254)

Collingwood in 99 and Carlton in more recent years have had either an Essendon or Carlton or Pies home game early in their season well before the rot has set in for them and hence they will have got a few inflated figures for those. I am sure their Freo or Port attendance figures would really show how much these blockbuster games do inflate the figures for these clubs. At least with our attendances they have been pretty consistent all season which would clearly suggest a improvement of results for us in the ensuing years will result in an influx of crowds. Now that would be a just reward for all us loyal supporters. :thumbsup

The Blues, Pies and Bombers don't have to play down in Geelong either which fits just 23,000. The Pies also onlyhave to travel 4 times per year and only to Perth once in their rigged draw  ::).

Hawk fans would argue playing games in Tassie is a misconception to those figures. :whistle

I say they would get similar crowds playing teams like Port and Kangaroos at the G or Dome.  :lol :rollin

Bananas :thumbsup

Yeah their crowds are so good that's why they had to play in Tassie in the first place  :wallywink.

If we had played Geelong at the 'G instead of Kardinia Park we would have added a further 30k at least to that total.

In one of our worst years in history, if not the worst, after losing the first nine or so games, with one game as demoralising as I've seen in the last 20 years against the Cats, our attendance record this year is nothing short of phenomenal.

Well done to all of us  :clapping

LMAO@the Hawk sooks on BF  :rollin

Just send those BF Hawk fans a 2008 RFC membership form. They might as well join up as they are obsessed with everything Richmond  :yep.

LOL at Hawkk picking out 2 games (one at different grounds) and ignoring the other 20 to make out Hawthorn get bigger crowds  :stupid

Hahahaha Hawk fans almost as bad as Pies fans. Only worse thing about it is they have intellect at lots of things except for any issue regarding their team and footy unlike Scum fans
A psychiatrist worth his salt will simply diagnose this behaviour as a severe case of inferiority complex. Must stem from the days when their club was nicknamed "The Mayblooms" :lol :lol

You don't play home games in Tassie and home finals at the Dome if you're a big drawing club.

ps. Nice "bump" Moi  ;D

There are a lot of reasons/excuses in that thread from other club supporters. The thing is,IF the Hawks had a good supporter base as others have said, they wouldnt have to play in Tassie or at the Dome, and IF W.A and S.A had more than 2 clubs to follow and IF we could put a few good seasons together, well then the figures would be different. Its funny how the  supporters that wont admit to there being a Big Four  are not in the Big Four lol As you said HT...inferiority complex :)
