Rate a Tiger's year: 21. Shane Tuck
« on: September 21, 2007, 05:18:19 AM »
How did we all rate Tucky's 2007?

Tuck played all 22 games averaging 22 disposals (3rd best Tiger), 5 marks and almost 3 tackles per match. He also kicked 12 goals. Finished up 3rd in the B&F behind Richo and Foley.

As an aside, Tucky has proven to be durable as well (just like his dad). He has played every game (66 straight) since Wallace became coach. One of only two Tigers to do so.

durable, gutsy , a goer ...yes

we know he filled in some tough tasks and duties this yr( ruck etc)

bur how the heck does someone who turned the ball over so many times, esp in crucial moments consistantly come 3rd in the b and f

maybe he was playing the game plan, maybe we we always planning to get the spoon this yr knowing the amount of talent up for trade and transfers

who knows, this yr could be teh greatest tanking yr in history

He was solid.  His rain-maker no look clearances that only go 20m max. do frustrate me but apart from that he is very versatile and should have another good year in the Y&B next year.

Hopefully injury free.  :pray

like his application, but really his kicking lets him down.

I was really disappointed in Tuck's first half of the year. OK, he knows how to get the thing, he knows how to trap the ball in etc etc, but honestly this is AFL standard, you can't get away with cr@p kicking like that in this comp. It's just not good enough. It hurt us nearly every time.
3rd in the B&F....did Tuck have a better year than Polak...er, not for mine he didn't.

Agree. You can't knock his efforts in the middle but Tuck's kicking especially in the first half of the year let him down big time. Almost 1 in 2 kicks were ineffective  :-\. I didn't think it was all that bad towards the end of the year. He apparently played under duress a few times (can't say what it is) so hopefully he'll be better next year.
