Brad Moran for Hartigan and pick 35?
« on: October 09, 2007, 01:27:24 PM »
On SEN news as a story, not just a caller which makes it a TAD more thread-worthy.  ;D

We give away pick 35 really since Hartigan was shot anyway.

Not a bad trade. . . .

any pick after 30 this year will be a big ask to get a decent player so moran for hartigan and 35 seems reasonable, especially considering Morans athletic ability.

This would be an AWESOME trade for us, I couldn't be happier if that went through.

i'd give them harts but not pick 35

while moran COULD be anything he is living off the reputation of one good debut game, i'd be wary at jumping to conclusions

If this went through it would mean pick 35 won't be involved in any Morton trade.

Moran has played just 3 games in 3 years although he did get a rising star nomination in R21 last year. I checked up Hamish McIntosh's stats as a comparison and he didn't debut until his 3rd year (1 game). It was McIntosh's 4th and then 5th years that he blossomed. So with Moran at 21 y.o. and 200cm  it may be a good time to get him in his career and for just a 3rd rounder.

The Roos are interested in Harts. Even Laidley has spoken to him.

Have to disagree with the comments that Hartigan isn't any good. He's got more balls than most of our players. But as you all have said he has had a bad time this year with injuries. But at least this is a real excuse unlike that of the dopey captain we have. His head should be on the chopping block above everyone.

Tim Fleming had balls, didn't make him a footballer.

Miller said dismissed speculation of a possible swap with the Kangaroos, which would have seen tall forward Brad Moran join the Tigers in exchange for pick 35 and Brent Hartigan.
