Delistings - Krak, Harts, Paddy, Peterson and Howat
« on: October 13, 2007, 07:35:47 PM »
The next decision the club has to make is what delistings it will make before the end of the month.

How many and who do you all think we will delist?

Hartigan
P Bowden
Krakouer
Hyde or Tivendale

I'd say that would be the extent of it considering

Gaspar Hall Knobel Kingsley already gone

Morton,McMahon already in
leaves us with our 4 picks in the national draft on Nov 24
1 or more in the preseason draft or any elevations off rookie lists

Will be interesting to see what happens with the rookies.

King would be a certainty to get elevated, but as for Howat and Graham i am not sure. Both of them cant go back to the rookie list as they have been rookies for two years so its either elevation or they get the flick.

I would think getting McMahon will see the end of Howat, as for Graham its either him or Guy Richards.

I would take Gus.

The AFL has changed the rules so rookies can remain for a 3rd year. This would be my option for Gus but I was told he, Kingy and Howat  ??? were going to be promoted. I hope the club has had a rethink since.

In (9): McMahon (trade), Morton (trade), King (promoted), Graham (promoted), Howat (promoted), pick 2, pick 18, pick 51, PSD pick.

Out (9): Gas, Kingsley, Hall, Knobel (all retired)
Hartigan, Krakouer, Hyde, Meyer, P.Bowden (all delisted)

Joel replaces Gas on the veterans' list and 3 rookies to be added.

I can't see Tivs being delisted. Too many others ahead of him.

As much as Tivvers has his detractors myself included.
I thought early in the year when we were put to the sword a little bit he
in particular was one of our better players. Overall he was serviceable
with the Melbourne win being his standout effort I thought. Perhaps on this evidence
we might see him get a 2 yr deal that might see his career out.

I'd like to see 5 players go:

Hartigan- Injury prone, skill concerns.
Krakouer - Unfit, slow, finished.
Meyer - Skinny, lazy, low possession winner.
P Bowden - Injury concerns, redundant.

5th could be one of Howat, Hyde or Tivendale.

See Tivs the same way HT74. Perhaps the only difference i would have is Tivs getting one-year deals over the next 2 years.

At least they do this right.  Why any club says who they will delist before the trade week and before most of the PSD targets are signed or not signed has got me beat.

Pretty sure that you can have rookies on for three years now.

Either way, Angus should get at least one more year. Same with Jake King.

Howat to go but that doesn't effect the main list.

Hartigan (injuries and brain function, slow down mate and think about what you will do next, no point being quick if you are stupid)

Possibly Hyde, P Bowden, Krak, Moore. Maybe some of those.

Steven Wright (SEN with KB) said to watch this space in regards to delistings.

Something in the next 48 hours.
