You can only be a mature aged rookie if you haven't been on an AFL list before which is silly. Poor old Podsiadly missed out on being a mature rookie at the Dogs because years ago he was a rookie at the Bombers I think.
That's right jezza. It's a stupid rule as why deny giving any mature player a second chance at AFL.

Didn't we ask the AFL about Podsiadly last year and they ruled he didn't qualify??

All clubs are required to have 3 picks in the National draft aren't they? So that means at the moment we've got picks 2, 18 and 51 and don't have a PSD pick unless someone else also gets cut.

It's interesting you mention that.

Weaver just said on BF he is confident all we need is three picks so it could be 0 ND, 3 PSD if we wanted . . .  ??? ???   Just as long as its three picks.

I think it has to be 3 National draft picks.

Yeah, they want kids coming into the system. Minimum 3 picks in the ND.
I've seen the rule before but don't know where. It's not in the CBA.

This Wednesday is the deadline for the first list lodgement. Does anyone think we'll make any further delistings before then?

apparently young crow darren pfeiffer has been delisted. The club should seriously look at trying to snare him and collard. collard through the national draft and pfeiffer in PSD. Although both are currently flanker types they have serious talent. Collard should of gone first round in last years super draft. Pfeiffer was actually a top 20 pick in 05.

Adding both to our list significantly increases the young talent we would have at punt road

means his had 2 years at Adelaide they got nothing from him so his delisted because his not at AFL standard
Adelaide had a badly wounded side for the last 2 seasons so if he cant make it in a wounded side he wont make it anywhere unless he puts the workrate up

wooden spoon material we must breed new talent ourselves

Thats why I say rookie TM.  He gets a year to prove he can be on an AFL list.

If not, bye bye and no senior list used.

Not a fan of him being a PSD choice though.
