Ray Hall tribute parody
« on: October 23, 2007, 05:24:17 AM »
On SEN last friday, some Tiger supporters called the Cole group made and sent in a Ray Hall tribute done as a parody to Nathan Buckley's over-the-top farewell tribute. They said they did it because it was unfair lesser likes didn't get the same send-off as Bucks did lol.

Enjoy Razor's tribute!  ;D

I thought it was p1ss weak and lame. Still, each to their own.  :)

The game against Melbourne where he was clobbered by Schwarz and ran on taking 2 bounces after it before falling in a crumpled heap - now that was funny because it was bizarre, like a chook running around after having its head chopped off.

his best match was the semi-final against carlton when he kick a beautiful goal and kept trying to rough up any carlton player at the age of 20 years old ... that was it ... the only good thing he done in his 99 match career !!! ... but good luck in the future Ray Hall ...

You either have a poor memory, or are a poor observer.

What about the day he gave Pavlich a bath? What about a match-saving mark against Hawthorn? There must be hundreds of "good things he done".

How about a little more respect?

Razor was never a defender (didn't have the smarts for it) yet had to play there thanks to our lack of talls  ::). He should have been played as a tall HFF.

As funny as that was he doesn't deserve that.

Was he there when he was best on ground in our most recent finals win against the Blues.?
Look this is the fine line we have opinions on players and their merits of being worthy or unworthy at AFL standard or otherwise. Sure we can state our opinion after all its on open forum but being personal like that is not the way. Similar to the Kepler Bradley one some Essendon fan did. Surely any issues with list management that existed during these players careers these individual players were not solely responsible for that. If someone came to me and said your playing AFL on Saturday on 200K on a 1 yr deal I would not say no. WOULD YOU?
Blame those that selected them on a week by week basis also who persisted and persevered with a low AFL standard of footballer also did not deem it necessary to recruit someone to take his place forcing them to play him week in and week out.

When we make criticisms of players even constructive ones it's a given that we're comparing them to their AFL peers and not any of us lazy hacks who sit in the stands with a pie in one hand and a beer in other.

Don't forget this was meant to be a parody of the over-the-top Buckley send-off. Similar music, similar "I was there..." voiceover and alike. Maybe they should have done a alternative version of Bucks' one:

"I was there when he left Brisbane after one season because he wanted to play in finals and premierships"

"I was there when he was Duncan Kellaway's bunny for years"

"I was there when he was given the Norm Smith ahead of Voss because the judges didn't count the vital last 15 minutes of the 2002 GF."

"I was there when he wiped blood on his opponent's jumper"

"I was there as he watched on as his former Brisbane teammates won 3 flags in a row."

"Yes I was there!"  ;D

Now that's a proper parody.  :thumbsup

That other rubbish from the supposed Richmond supporters was a poor excuse for a parody. Rather than ridiculing the Buckley tribute it just ridicules Ray Hall who had nothing to do with it.
A weak effort by them and p1ss poor material.

After reliving those clips it makes you wonder if things could have been different for Razor if he didn't have to spend the rest of his career in the backline ???.
