No, it's not a fact.

Who knows how many we will win. I don't, neither does anyone else. We may get 5 wins, we may get 13 wins. Most likely somewhere in between.Either way, I'll be there supporting the club, not moping around, or wanting to sack everyone, or holding people responsible for things that are  out of their control.

There really are some sad people out there. If it makes you so miserable, go and do something else with your time.

Thats why I went for percentage, I cant name what we will or not, it was easier to say, well what is the chance of this game being a W.

And in the end it went near what I think is realistic for us.

I'm with you Gordon, looking at the draw and trying not to get ahead of myself, but we have a lot of winnable games. By winnable I mean we'll be within striking distance at 3 quarter time.

We weren't far off in a few games last season, all the youngsters will be a year older, it might be enough in some games to get us over the line this time.

Very Winnable Games
Carlton - Yes
Kangaroos - Yes
Collingwood - Yes
Fremantle - No
Western Bulldogs - Yes
Hawthorn - No
St. Kilda - Yes
Geelong - No
Essendon - Yes
Sydney - Yes
Adelaide - Yes
Melbourne - Yes
Port Adelaide - No
Carlton - Yes
West Coast - Yes
Essendon - Yes
Brisbane Lions - Yes
Geelong - No
Adelaide - Yes
Hawthorn - No
Fremantle - Yes
Melbourne - Yes

I don't expect we'd win all of these, but this is of course based on our form and the form of the other teams in the last half of the season.

Nobody knows who the bolters will be though, I could revisit this in round 6 next season and the Saints are running rampant and we're not going so well and my prediction looks silly.

The Saints will be on at least 7 wins, probably 8 by the split round next year.  Their first half of the season is very kind.

I went for 8 wins. Geelong x2, Hawthorn x2 plus the interstate trips will be tough. The rest who knows. We could win the close ones next year and finish mid-ladder or we could repeat the narrow loses of this year and finish near the bottom. This time last year we were doing cartwheels drawing the wooden spooners first up yet 6 months later we got run over  :scream.

personally id rather finish bottom 4 than 9th.

9th for me is one big kick in the guts because what it means is just more doom and gloom for this footy team for 3 years at best. average draft picks etc etc

The stupid draft system makes it that way. It should be a lottery for the bottom 8 sides (but wait until 2009 lol).

lottery system. dont they do that for another code in the US or something. i may be wrong.

This system is a joke and wouldnt surprise me if demetriou the loser changes it to the lottery in round 20 as we have 3 wins on the board. i get the feeling that guy likes no one but himself.

They do it for the NBA.

The team who comes last gets the most combinations in a lotto thing and its staggered back from there.

Teams still tanked in the NBA last year regardless to get a better chance its not foolproof either.

Although quite a few teams did get stung.

Memphis and Boston rested all their good players came last and 2nd last and still only got picks 4 and 5 while portland basically played the year out, came 6th last and got number one, about a 5% chance I think they had.  :lol  :rollin
