i guess fan night was an afterthought.

Whilst training is important, that would be disappointing if true.
Plenty of fans want to know more about the new faces at the club.
That's right Magic. Training Night and Family Day are basically the only two days a year most supporters especially kids can get up close with their heroes. It's not like the VFL days where you could run out onto the ground after a game every Saturday arvo.

oops - sounds like a bit of a puss poor effort (in Kiwi).
Must admit I drove past abot 6:30 and was taken aback it was all empty.
Not good tiggys not good.
If you want to train , train - If you want to advertise a fans day then treat it as such.

Then again I wasn't there, so wtf would I know  :santa

Well everyone who went and was there all the time still seemed very pleased with it all.

Just got home - what a waste  :banghead :banghead

Got there at 5.45pm (some of us do work) and it was over. Chatted to few friends and came home

Not happy at all

Why not happy ? do tell ?

Jack,

Which bit didn't I make clear  ::) ;D

Not happy that i got there and it was over. I thought I made that bit clear. I couldn't get there any earlier because I was at work. Fortunately I don't have kids because if I did they would have been disappointed.

It (the flyer) said it started at 3.30pm didn't say what time it was going to finish.

Well everyone who went and was there all the time still seemed very pleased with it all.

I am sure they were and that's great  - I am sure it was fantastic but for those people who couldn't get there early because of this pesky thing called work it was disppointing that by 6.00pm it was over.

Trying to get to Punt Road oval in peek hour traffic isn't the easiet thing in the world

As I said earleir in the week

Another non family friendly time for those of us who actually work for a livin >:(

Will try and get there after work

Knowing my luck it will be over by the time I get there :P

I actually thought it started at 3 and through till 7 ish ?
Didnt the one 3 years ago do that, that attracted the ''masses""?

It started at 3.30 and obviously only went for 2 hours tops.

It really should've begun at 5pm so people could get there after work. Even the media ignored it yet Carlton, Hawthorn and North's ones were reported on.

I reckon 3 years ago, when Casey and Miller had the tiger executive group on the balcony entertaining guests etc It at least went till 7 and there were thousands there.
That was the night the players pushed the Combi Van around the oval

If they want a lot of people to show up then they should hold on a weekend.

Yes I remember that one Jackie

If they want a lot of people to show up then they should hold on a weekend.

For too much logic there.

I appreciate that cricket gets played at punt Road in summer, but surely they could have organised it better than 3.30pm on a Friday afternoon

Gourdis is a big lad. Barring injury there's no reason why he shouldn't debut next year.
