RFC's non-football revenue
« on: November 17, 2007, 02:35:23 PM »
In all this North to Gold Coast talk, Brayshaw mentioned how the Roos need to boost their non-football revenue significantly to stay in Melbourne.

What's the RFC's non-football revenue sources?

SEN were talking about this the other night and mentioned us having pokies at Knox. They must have meant the Wantirna Club. I can't think of too many others  ???.

- Wantirna Club
- JDF

I thought that our only 2 places were

Wantirna Club and
Royal Oak in Richmond.

For mine we need a bigger presence in this area.

If the RSL club in Glen Waverley wants to do a deal, thats a nice facility in our heartland area and a pub/gaming venue in Craigieburn also sounds like a good idea

The Club (could have been March) has said a while back it was looking to boost non-football revenue so our budget didn't depend on on-field results but there's been no mention of this since publicly.

Gary March said the Club this year has procured property in Laguna and acquired other assets and the Club will continue to improve its net asset position in the coming years. Revenue is up by roughly $2m to over $27m.

some clarification of the above post would be good.

It's a direct quote from March in the Club's annual report. I presume he means the Club now owns some property up in the Whitsundays.
