Wasn't a bad day as the rain held off all day bar two very quick showers.

I don't know if it was the gloomy skies or the gloomy season ahead, but numbers were way way down on the previous two years.
I'd say over 50% easily.

The players were well utilized this season appearing in sponsors marquees for autographs or for photo opportunities for $20.
One booth had Geoff Raines, Francis Bourke, Barry Rowlings and Dale Weightman in it at one stage.
I had a hard time explaining to my daughter that they were indeed greats who played when Richmond was feared and successful.....something that shes not seen in her five years.
I had to laugh at the middle aged ladies still queing up for a photo will Rainsey Snr!
Saw the Matrix men marquee and nearly vomited at the sight of the lads (Rainsey Cogs Browny and Lids) all tarted up like catwalk drama queens, so pushed on.
I did have the pleasure of having a photo of Axle with my young un'.....a great guy who I hope actually gets awarded the JD medal when he wins it for a second time this year.
Plenty of free cheapo gimmicks that kids love and a nice centenary cap with an AFG logo on the back for a buck.

Oh I also had a photo opportunity with Terry Wallace.
He signed my cap "To Jackstar with love"
Step forward if you want it jack

still would rather do that than be seen at a skunks day out

"Saw the Matrix men marquee and nearly vomited at the sight of the lads (Rainsey Cogs Browny and Lids) all tarted up like catwalk drama queens, so pushed on."
Saw nothing to vomit at there at all!!!! ;)

"had to laugh at the middle aged ladies still queing up for a photo will Rainsey Snr!"
Such a pity only women age :P
And middle aged Rainsey is still something to look at

And whether we think Richo should stay forever or hang up his boots now, there is no doubting his popularity with the supporters! When he turned up there was such a rush for him it was amazing! I saw an old italian lady rushing to him with her autograph book, young men and old, kids of all ages, all running to get a piece of him, it was unbelievable! There is sure going to be a huge hole at Tigerland when he moves on :gotigers
