What Role Would You Like, At The Richmond Football Club
« on: January 04, 2008, 05:21:40 AM »
In a hypothetical, ideal world where you could do anything you liked, if you had the chance to be a part of the day to day running of the football club, i.e. player, trainer, coach, administrator etc.: What role would you like to play?

Probably something like maintaining their website or the AFL version would be the type of role I could fill.
If I could earn 60K + , I would do any job there no worries at all because it would be something I would love and get heaps of job satisfaction out of.

the revolutionary ticket that takes over Punt Rd in Dec 2010 will allow supporters access to decision making decisions. for example prior to the draft we will open the MCG to all supporters and the supporters will vote on potential draftees, the vote will be done on the voices, the final confirmation will occur on the big screen, when the decision is made, a photograph of Nero will appear, he will either give the thumbs up or he will give the thumbs down. It is this type of inclusive strategy that will take RFC to the top of the AFL jungle.

LOL Ramps  ;D. Good luck getting 100k supporters all agreeing. Cotchin or Morton?  ;)

In a hypothetical world you would love to be good enough to pull on the Y&B guernsey as a player or even be the senior coach.

Let's hope Nero not playing his fiddle while the empire is burning :lol

In all seriousness I think I would love to be a player. The matchwinner the player in which the teams fortunes rest on his shoulders and more often than not the team succeeds. The one who kicks the miraculous goal takes the big mark lays the big tackle
turns the game around with one act of brilliance never shows fear cops it on the chin but goes on stoically in the face of adversity and dishes it out even harder and bleeds yellow and black through and through.
Coaching leaves your dreams in the hands of others and if your team don't perform then you are expendable.
CEO would be great also but for sheer naked emotion the player goes through that and that would be something out of this world to experience at the top level whereas the CEO usually has more decorum and therefore shows more restraint.

From today's perspective, I would love to be in charge of the museum and oval tours.  To do the research and meet the people who are our history, and then pass on their stories would be a real buzz.

To be honest I would like to do any job that gave me acess to the inner circle. I think chairman of selectors would be good as you would have access to nearly every part of the club. To know what goes on behind the closed doors is realy my Tiger Dream. Well that and a few flags in the next 10 years.
