Not expecting great results this season but it just makes me feel good typing those names.
I reckon we'll have a very nice midfield in 2/3 years time as there are going to be some genuine stars among those names. 8)

Chuck in hopefully Newy, Polo and Jacko too in that list although Lids looks to be playing FF this year. Fingers crossed we can start paying out on some clubs in 2/3 years time. Good sides have 10-12 mids they can rotate.

Deledio at Full Forward ???

i have read the training threads and seems like it might very well happen ...

is it good or bad ???

he is a very talented player ...

5 Goals v Collingwood showed how good he can be when he has 7-8 shots on goal ...

but does that mean we are lacking Full Forwards ???

we do have some young Full Forwards/Centre Half Forwards ... ie: Riewoldt, Hughes, Gourdis

they will take time but why not chuck them in now and just let them play in the one position ???

I am pleased when I think of the potential future but I am critical of the present on other levels.
The young talent that is coming through at the Tigers is the only reason chicken pooh hasn't been dumped at the door on the back of yet another spoon.

Of these guys I mentioned I am pretty sure that they'll all go on to have good careers at the Tiges and there will be success ahead if they are nutured and coached correctly.

Quite happy for Lids to take a forward role at this stage of his career. 8)

I can see him becoming as good as Matty Lloyd(sans diving) up front.

Would you take that?

I would every time.

I don't really understand why some want him to be a permanent midfielder.
He isn't a great extractor, doesn't handle a tag all that well and has 1%s and tackle counts.

I see him as far more lethal closer to the goals.
